UTTHAN CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

In 2008, some of the well-wishers of Bhaskar Sanskar Kendra at No. 2 Parbatipur, Assam met in Nagpur and decided to help the wonderful work going on there for almost two decades without any external assistance. They were impressed by the hardworking and sincere boys and girls in the remote village. So they formed a small group and called for a meeting when Warnekar couple working at Parbatipur came for annual vacation to Nagpur. In the meeting it was decided to form a trust that will finance and monitor the activities of Bhaskar Sanskar Kendra at Parbatipur along with any other similar work going on anywhere in India. Soon a committee was formed and the trust UTTHAN CHARITABLE FOUNDATION was registered as Society in Charity Commissioner's Office at Nagpur in 2008. The same was converted into a Registered Trust in 2011 and the trust got Income Tax Relief under section 80 G in 2012. Since then the Trust members are keenly observing and encouraging the Sanskar Kendra workers by personally visiting Assam whenever possible.

About BHASKAR SANSKAR KENDRA

"Bhaskar Sanskar Kendra" had a humble beginning in November 1988 in a small village known as No. 2 Parbatipur, in the Lakhimpur district of Assam. The village was predominantly inherited by ex-tea garden workers community speaking the Sadani dialect. The community there had zero literacy and was living in a very pathetic condition. Due to illiteracy, excessive drinking and social backwardness, it was a soft target to be exploited by vested interests. Few young boys and girls of the community joined hands to rise from this sunken situation through "Shiksha and Sanskars". In the name of the bright Lord Sun, they founded "Bhaskar Sanskar Kendra" and began their activities in the evening with games, songs, stories, prayer and studies. Since then they have never looked back and with hard work, have risen to a stage, which many others wish to replicate.

In last 34 years, Bhaskar Sanskar Kendra has many more by products. A regular "Sanskar Shibir" of 15 hours a day (evening 5 p.m. to next morning 8 a m.) for around 80 teenage boys and girls is running smoothly for past 14 years. Disciplined routine is followed for all round development of Body, Mind and Brain in the Shibir free of cost.

International organisation "STEAM VISION FOUNDATION" collaborated with Bhaskar Sanskar Kendra to inculcate Scientific Temperament and Exposure to Technology for Parbatipur villagers, through a well-equipped "Digital Class Room". It brought the best of knowledge within the reach of common man. Weekly classes on Programming, Al, Animation, App Making for High School students. Workshops conducted by the volunteers from Jnana Prabodhini and Swaroopwardhini, Pune help the students grow stronger academically.

BHASKAR GYANPEETH

A Primary School "BHASKAR GYANPEETH" is catering the educational need of around 200 children of weaker sections at minimal cost. Kalyan Ashram, Assam and Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Guwahati, Assam of Vidya Bharti extended a helping hand and the school became widely acceptable. The school now has 7 classes from KG 1 to Class 5 in Assamese medium. Ex-students of the school are reaching new heights. The school is progressing steadily.

SADANI BHASHI YUWA MANCH

A Youth Wing "SADANI BHASHI YUWA MANCH❞ was formed by ex-students of Sanskar Kendra and Gyanpeeth. It is striving for social reforms using national and religious festivals like Independence Day, Republic Day, Kanya Puja, Ram Navami, Mahashivratri, Diwali, Holi etc. These festivals are celebrated in a grand way with large support of villagers. Sports like Football, Cricket, Kabaddi, Volley Ball etc. are played frequently. Yuwa Manch is becoming a reliable support for the community.

MAHILA PRAUDH PRASHIKSHAN VARGA

Though started very late, MAHILA PRAUDH PRASHIKSAHAN VARGA has brought the women of the community together. Every alternate day, they attend online literacy classes taken by a well wisher from Pune with a local coordinator. The ladies are enjoying their education. Every Saturday many of them participate in the weekly Bhajan Sandhya in Shiva Parvati temple in the campus.
